What I LOVE about Cool River (2)

There's more I love about Cool River.

* Conflict Resolution -- We seem to deal pretty well with conflict. Pretty much everyone gets the fact that when there's something wrong you go to that person and work things out. Yes...we still have some pretty petty stuff that happens but overall I've been impressed.

* Elders -- I'm personally blessed by our elders and I know Cool River is, too. These people have given their heart and soul to this place. They are amazing people that love God and love People over and over and over and over and over again.

* Filling the gaps -- People at Cool River fill the gaps whenever they are needed. There is rarely a time that we don't have someone saying, "Is there anything that I can do?" I love that.

* Family -- We have an atmosphere that feels like family. More and more of our kids are getting to know other adults as aunts and uncles and friends. That's great to see.

* Humility -- I appreciate so much that people at Cool River don't have an out of alignment pride about Cool River. They understand that Jesus is much more significant than the church itself and they reveal that in their words and actions. I love that.

* Love of People -- I love watching Cool River people engaging with others that are guest in our gatherings or that we meet as we move in our community together in service. It's so much fun to watch people loving people, listening well and giving others the attention they deserve.

* Their love for me -- I'm not a superstar speaker or leader but I wouldn't know the difference by the way that Cool River treats me. I'm loved for who I am and I'm encouraged and uplifted all the time. Their love for my family is also a blessing.

* Real -- I Love that Cool River is real. Not perfect by any means. Not polished by any means. And we don't pretend to be, either. It's nice to be among a group of people that know we're all messed up and we need God in a big way.

* Lack of Bureaucracy -- Cool River is a lean and mean organization. We don't have a hundred hoops to jump through to get things done and it helps us to remain fluid in our ministry.

* Money Matters -- I love that Cool River is a church that give a lot of money away. We are consistently pushing toward giving more and more each year to people and projects both here and overseas--both to meeting needs and to new opportunities for God.

Cool River--You're Great! Let's keep getting better and better as we love God and love people.
